We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong SAP expertise to join our manufacturing operations in Orlando, FL. This role is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, supporting month-end close, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and partnering with operations to support cost accounting and manufacturing finance activities.


Responsibilities


  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Support manufacturing accounting functions, including cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costing
  • Utilize SAP (FI/CO preferred) for financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements
  • Analyze production costs, inventory valuation, and overhead absorption
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant management to provide financial insights
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with SAP preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting tools a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Manufacturing or plant-level accounting experience
  • Standard costing and variance analysis
  • ERP implementation experience
